Waterproof 280 kg (600 lb) Magnetic Lock, Wide Armature: overview
EL-130 is a waterproof single-door magnetic lock with a noticeably larger armature plate than usual: 200 × 45 × 13 mm, against the 180 × 38 mm plates on our standard 280 kg locks. It holds 280 kg (600 lb) ±10% in static straight pull and carries a lock-status signal output, so the controller can confirm the magnet has actually engaged before it reports the door as secured.
The 220 × 47 × 28 mm body is housed in stainless steel with double insulation and is listed for wooden, metal and fire doors. An anti-residual-magnetism design and wear-resistant materials help the door release promptly, and with no moving parts there is nothing mechanical to jam. A built-in MOV clamps the switch-off spike from the coil to protect the relay that drives it.
Set the coil for 12 V DC ±10% (500 mA) or 24 V DC ±10% (250 mA) during installation. The lock is fail-safe, releasing whenever power is cut, and has no built-in delay, so relock timing is handled by the controller or keypad.
Integration notes
Allow for the 220 × 47 × 28 mm body on the frame header and the 200 × 45 × 13 mm plate on the door face when checking clearances. At 12 V, budget 500 mA for the coil plus the reader and controller load, with 25–50% headroom on the supply. Wire the lock-status contact to a controller door or auxiliary input. Listed certifications are CE and RoHS.

How big is the armature plate compared with a standard 280 kg lock?
It measures 200 × 45 × 13 mm, versus 180 × 38 × 11 mm on EL-190, EL-200 and EL-110. Check that the door face has room for the larger plate before ordering.
What is the difference between lock status and door status?
A lock-status output reports whether the magnet is holding the armature, meaning the door is actually locked. A door-status output only shows whether the door is closed. EL-130 provides lock status; EL-110 and EL-120 provide door status.
Which doors is it listed for?
Wooden, metal and fire doors. For glass doors choose EL-110 or EL-120, which list glass among their door types.
What power supply do I need?
The lock draws 500 mA at 12 V DC or 250 mA at 24 V DC. Add the other door devices and 25–50% headroom; a 12 V 3 A supply such as PW-120 is a common choice for one door.
