Sandblasted aluminum U bracket that clamps the armature of a 280 kg (600 lb) maglock onto frameless glass 8–15 mm thick; screw pack included.
Frameless glass doors have no metal stile to screw an armature plate into. EL-150 is a U-shaped aluminum channel that fits over the top edge of the glass leaf and carries the armature, while the magnetic lock body stays on the framed header or transom above. It is intended for glass leaves that are frameless below a fixed header and swing one way through up to 180°.
The bracket takes glass from 8 to 15 mm thick and measures 180 × 38 × 28 mm, matching the 180 × 38 mm armature plate used on standard 280 kg (600 lb) locks such as EL-190, EL-200 and EL-110. It is made from high-strength aluminum alloy with a sandblasted finish and comes with a screw pack.
Because a maglock only delivers its rated force when the armature meets the lock face flat and square, the fit between bracket and glass is what decides real-world performance. Order the bracket together with the lock so both parts are checked against your glass thickness.
Measure the glass thickness and the gap between the top of the glass and the header before ordering: the armature must land squarely on the lock face when the door closes. On double glass doors, fit one U bracket per leaf with a double-door lock such as EL-170 or EL-180, whose two armatures are also 180 × 38 mm. If there is no fixed header above the door at all, the lock body needs its own glass mount.
