Brushed aluminum L bracket, 250 × 48 × 28 mm, that gives a 280 kg (600 lb) magnetic lock a solid mounting ledge where the door header is too narrow.
EL-160 is an L-shaped mounting bracket for 280 kg (600 lb) magnetic locks. Use it when the underside of the header is too narrow, recessed or uneven to take the lock body directly: one leg screws to the frame and the other forms a flat 250 mm ledge for the lock, keeping its face in line with the armature on the door.
The bracket is high-strength aluminum alloy with a brushed (wire-drawn) finish, measures 250 × 48 × 28 mm and ships with a screw pack. It is listed for wooden, metal and fire doors that open one way through 90°.
A maglock resists force in straight pull, so the mount has to stay rigid. If the lock body can flex or tilt, the armature peels away at an angle when someone pulls the door and the lock holds far less than its rating. A solid aluminum ledge fixed into the frame avoids that on slim aluminum shopfront sections and trimmed timber frames.
The 250 × 48 mm footprint follows our 250 mm lock bodies, including EL-190, EL-200 (250 × 47 mm) and EL-110 (250 × 48 mm). Check that the door top clears the bracket leg through its swing, and fix the frame leg into solid material rather than thin trim. If the door opens toward the lock side, you need the EL-140 ZL bracket instead; for frameless glass leaves, add the EL-150 U bracket for the armature.

Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Gym access control system hardware for 24/7 clubs: fob and wristband readers, face and QR terminals, anti-passback controllers and no-touch exit buttons.
Use the L bracket when the door closes toward the lock side as usual but the header is too narrow to hold the lock body. If the door opens toward the lock side, typically an inswing door, choose the EL-140 ZL bracket.
280 kg (600 lb) magnetic locks; its 250 × 48 mm face follows EL-190, EL-200 and EL-110. For shorter bodies such as the 210 mm EL-120, send us the lock details and we will check the screw positions.
It is listed for wooden, metal and fire doors. For frameless glass, pair the lock with the EL-150 U bracket for the armature.
One L bracket and a screw pack. The lock is ordered separately.
Maglock wiring with dry-relay COM/NC: keypad and reader diagrams, REX signals, approved egress release paths and manufacturer-specific suppression.
A fail-safe lock releases when power is cut; a fail-secure lock stays locked. Learn which to use per door, how to wire NO/NC, and what egress codes expect.
Program a standalone access control keypad: enter programming mode, change the master code, add card and PIN users, set relay time, reset and wire it.
