Fail-safe 12 V DC drop bolt with a door-status signal output for monitored doors, 0/3/6/9 s delay and 110 mA draw. Fits wood, metal, glass and fire doors.
EB-120 is a fail-safe electric drop bolt for doors that your access control system needs to monitor as well as lock. Besides the 12 V DC bolt drive, it provides a door-status signal output, so a controller with a door-sensor input can flag doors that are held open or forced. The bolt releases whenever power is removed, which suits egress routes tied to a fire-alarm interlock.
The lock shares its core design with our EB-110: microprocessor control, photoelectric bolt control to prevent mechanical faults, a low-power and low-temperature design, and built-in reverse-current (MOV) protection. It draws 110 mA at 12 V DC ±10% and has passed a 500,000-cycle power-on aging test. The body is high-strength aluminum alloy with a stainless-steel bolt, and it fits wooden, metal, glass and fire doors, including double-swing and sliding types.
Wire the door-status leads to the door-sensor input of your controller, and switch the 12 V DC lock supply through the relay's normally closed (NC) contact for fail-safe operation. Set the time delay to 0, 3, 6 or 9 s to control how long the bolt stays retracted after release. The lock body measures 205 × 42 × 35 mm and the strike plate 90 × 25 × 2 mm; ask us for a dimensioned drawing before machining the frame cut-out. For frameless glass doors, pair it with the EB-130 U bracket or the EB-140 glass bracket.

| EB-120-S | Fail-safe electric drop bolt with door-status signal output, 12 V DC, 0/3/6/9 s delay, with strike plate |
Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Gym access control system hardware for 24/7 clubs: fob and wristband readers, face and QR terminals, anti-passback controllers and no-touch exit buttons.
It reports the door status, so a controller with a door-sensor input can raise door-held-open or forced-door events. Wire it to that input on the controller.
Fail-safe. The bolt retracts when the 12 V DC supply is removed, so the door is free during a power failure or a fire-alarm cut-off.
The rated operating current is 110 mA at 12 V DC ±10%. Add up every device on the supply and allow 25–50% headroom when choosing the power supply.
Use the EB-130 U bracket or the EB-140 glass bracket. Both are stainless steel and clamp glass 8–15 mm thick.
Yes. The body is 205 × 42 × 35 mm and the strike plate 90 × 25 × 2 mm; we send a dimensioned drawing on request so you can confirm the frame cut-out before machining.
Maglock wiring with dry-relay COM/NC: keypad and reader diagrams, REX signals, approved egress release paths and manufacturer-specific suppression.
A fail-safe lock releases when power is cut; a fail-secure lock stays locked. Learn which to use per door, how to wire NO/NC, and what egress codes expect.
Program a standalone access control keypad: enter programming mode, change the master code, add card and PIN users, set relay time, reset and wire it.
