Hydraulic Door Closer, EN Size 4, Doors up to 80 kg (176 lb): overview
CL-110 is an overhead hydraulic door closer that returns an access-controlled door to the closed position after every passage, so the maglock or drop bolt can engage again. It has an EN size 4 closing force and handles doors up to 80 kg (176 lb) and 1,100 mm (43 in) wide, with a maximum opening angle of 180°.
Closing speed and latching speed are adjusted separately, and closing torque can also be set. Measured from 90°, the door can be tuned to close in under 3 s or slowed to more than 40 s. Once the door is opened past 65°, an adjustable backcheck adds damping so a door pushed hard does not hit the wall. Anti-freeze hydraulic fluid keeps the closing speed steady as ambient temperature changes within the –20 to +55 °C operating range.
The body is non-handed, so one SKU covers left- and right-hand doors, and it is rated for 1,000,000 cycles. Standard units have no hold-open function; a version that holds the door at 90° can be made to order.
Integration notes
The body measures 205 × 42 × 64 mm and the installation size is 188 × 19 mm. Tune the latching speed so the door closes fully onto the lock without bouncing, and confirm door weight and width against the EN size 4 limits before ordering.

Is EN size 4 a certification?
No. It is the closing-force size class; in the EN 1154 size table, size 4 covers doors up to 1,100 mm wide and 80 kg, matching this closer. Ask for test documents if your project requires certified hardware.
Does it have a hold-open function?
Not as standard. A version that holds the door at 90° can be made to order; avoid hold-open on doors that must self-close for fire safety.
Can it be fitted to left- and right-hand doors?
Yes. The closer is non-handed, so the same unit works on either hand.
How fast can the door close?
Closing time from 90° adjusts from under 3 s to over 40 s, and latching speed is set separately so the door closes fully onto the lock.
Does it work in cold weather?
It is rated –20 to +55 °C and uses anti-freeze hydraulic fluid to keep the closing speed steady as temperature changes.
