OSDP & Wiegand Metal Card Reader, 125 kHz + 13.56 MHz + BLE: overview
The CR-300 is a multi-technology wall reader for integrators who want one part for mixed card populations and a clear path from Wiegand to OSDP. It reads 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz credentials, accepts Bluetooth LE 5.3 as a third technology, and talks to the controller over Wiegand, RS485 or OSDP v2.2. The slim metal housing is 86 × 86 mm, rated IP65 and RoHS compliant.
At 13.56 MHz it is compatible with MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3, MIFARE Ultralight and Ultralight C, NTAG2xx, CPU cards, FeliCa, ICODE and NFC Forum Type 1–5 tags, covering ISO/IEC 14443A/B, ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18092. At 125 kHz it handles EM4100, EM4102, EM4200, EM4305 and EM4450. Reading distance is 0–3 cm, and anti-copy protection and tamper detection are built in.
A wide 7–24 V DC input lets the reader share an existing 12 V or 24 V supply; at 12 V it draws ≤ 200 mA on standby and ≤ 260 mA while reading. It operates from –20 to +60 °C. Firmware and configuration parameters can be updated with a management tool, supplied on request. Choose CR-300-D-BT for a card-only face or CR-300-D-BT-K for the touch-keypad version; both ship with a silver shell, black panel and no logo.
Integration notes
Use the RS485 pair for OSDP v2.2 or the reader's plain RS485 mode, or wire Wiegand D0/D1 to legacy panels. Each unit has a 250 mm (9.8 in) cable; ask for the wiring diagram with your quote so the conductor colors can be matched to your panel.

CR-300 FAQ
Can I install it on Wiegand now and move to OSDP later?
Yes. The reader offers Wiegand for existing panels and RS485 with OSDP v2.2 for newer ones, so it can stay on the wall when the controller is upgraded; only the panel wiring and output setting change.
Does it support OSDP Secure Channel?
The reader supports OSDP v2.2. Secure Channel behavior depends on how your panel handles keys, so send us the controller model and we will confirm the configuration before dispatch.
What is the Bluetooth radio used for?
Bluetooth LE 5.3 is a third credential technology alongside 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz cards, for phone-based access. The phone side needs an app or platform that issues Bluetooth credentials for this reader.
What power supply does it need?
Any regulated supply from 7 to 24 V DC. At 12 V, budget up to 260 mA per reader while reading and up to 200 mA on standby.
Is it suitable for outdoor doors?
The housing is rated IP65 and operates from –20 to +60 °C, which suits covered outdoor entrances. For colder climates, the CR-310 is rated to –40 °C.
