Card-only 89.5 mm square reader with Wiegand 26/34 output (66 on upper tiers), in EM, MIFARE, sector-read, FeliCa and dual-frequency versions.
The CR-190 is a card-only Wiegand reader in an 89.5 × 89.5 × 16.3 mm square housing, the keyless companion to the CR-180 keypad model. It suits office doors, lift cars and turnstile heads that need a neat card reader in front of an existing controller, and it is offered in five credential versions.
CR-190-E reads 125 kHz EM4100, EM4102 and EM4200-compatible cards and fobs. CR-190-M returns 13.56 MHz UIDs from MIFARE Classic, DESFire, Plus, Ultralight, NTAG2xx and CPU cards. CR-190-MS also reads protected MIFARE Classic 1K/4K sectors and CPU card files, ISO/IEC 15693 UIDs and the iCLASS CSN; CR-190-MS-FC adds FeliCa. CR-190-D reads both EM and MIFARE/NTAG credentials, a practical choice when two card populations must share a door during a changeover.
The Wiegand format (26, 34 or 66 bits depending on version), read mode, card key and card-number format are set by swiping a configuration card. Response time is under 120 ms, and the design includes ESD and miswiring protection.
Power: 12 V DC (±5%), up to 200 mA. Leads: red +12 V, black GND, white D1, green D0, purple buzzer control, gray LED control; tie yellow to GND to fix Wiegand 26. The purple and gray inputs let the controller drive the reader's buzzer and LED for access feedback. No ingress rating is published, so mount it indoors or under cover.

Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Elevator card readers for car panels and lift lobbies: anti-clone encrypted cards, QR codes for visitors, Wiegand or RS485 output to the floor controller.
Turnstile card readers, QR scanners and face terminals for tripod, swing and speed gates, with Wiegand, RS485, RS232 or TTL output to the gate board.
It works with controllers that accept Wiegand 26 or 34, and Wiegand 66 on -MS, -MS-FC and -D. Match the reader format to the controller port with the configuration card.
Only CR-190-MS-FC. It reads the FeliCa UID in addition to everything the -MS version reads.
They are control inputs: purple drives the buzzer and gray drives the LED, so the controller can signal granted or denied at the reader.
No. The 13.56 MHz versions read the DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3/Light UID only. Sector and file data reads are for MIFARE Classic 1K/4K and CPU cards on -MS versions.
Compare Wiegand, OSDP and RS485 reader interfaces: wiring, cable limits, AES-128 Secure Channel and steps for a compatible access-control migration.
125 kHz cards are cheap but easy to clone; 13.56 MHz cards add memory and, on DESFire-class chips, AES security. Compare range, chips, security and migration.
