Slim 153 × 45 mm mullion reader with touch keypad and doorbell key, in 125 kHz EM or 13.56 MHz MIFARE versions with Wiegand 26/34/66 output.
The CR-160 packs a touch keypad, a card reader and a doorbell key into a 153 × 45 × 16.3 mm mullion housing, narrow enough for aluminum door frames and glass-door stiles. It sends card numbers and PIN entries to your controller over Wiegand and is available in four credential tiers.
CR-160-E reads 125 kHz EM4100/EM4102/EM4200-compatible cards and fobs. CR-160-M reads the UID of 13.56 MHz MIFARE Classic, DESFire, Plus, Ultralight, NTAG2xx and CPU cards. CR-160-MS adds protected-sector reading for MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, CPU card file data, ISO/IEC 15693 UIDs and the iCLASS CSN, with Wiegand 66 available. CR-160-MS-FC also reads FeliCa UIDs.
Output format, read mode, card key and card-number format are set by swiping a configuration card, so installers can match the reader to the panel on site without a laptop. The reader responds in under 120 ms and includes ESD and miswiring protection. A keyless version for the same frame width is listed as the CR-170.
Supply 12 V DC (±5%), up to 200 mA. Leads: red +12 V, black GND, white D1, green D0, purple buzzer control, gray LED control, yellow for Wiegand 26/34 selection, and blue/orange for the doorbell key. Keypad data rides on the Wiegand pair; the PIN format is not published, so tell us your controller model and we confirm it. No ingress rating is published, so mount it on protected frames.

Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Gym access control system hardware for 24/7 clubs: fob and wristband readers, face and QR terminals, anti-passback controllers and no-touch exit buttons.
The housing is 45 mm wide, 153 mm tall and 16.3 mm deep, which suits most aluminum frames and glass-door stiles. Check the frame face width before ordering.
Key presses are sent on the same Wiegand data pair as card numbers. The PIN format is not listed on the datasheet, so we confirm it against your controller model.
Use the blue and orange leads, which come from the bell key and are separate from the power and data leads. Connect them to your chime or intercom push-button input.
The -MS and -MS-FC versions read the iCLASS card serial number (CSN) only, not the secure credential, so enroll those cards by CSN.
Compare Wiegand, OSDP and RS485 reader interfaces: wiring, cable limits, AES-128 Secure Channel and steps for a compatible access-control migration.
125 kHz cards are cheap but easy to clone; 13.56 MHz cards add memory and, on DESFire-class chips, AES security. Compare range, chips, security and migration.
Wiegand 26-bit is an even parity bit, 8-bit facility code, 16-bit card number and odd parity bit. Convert card numbers to hex and back with the calculator.
