Keyless 138 × 58 mm mullion reader that decodes QR codes and 13.56 MHz card UIDs behind an IP67 glass front, with Wiegand, RS485 and USB outputs.
The QC-140 is a slim mullion QR code and RFID reader: a keyless 138 × 58 mm IP67 body, the narrowest and simplest model in our metal-frame series. It fits door stiles, glass partitions and turnstile posts, and sends each QR or card read to the controller that makes the access decision.
Scanning uses a 648 × 488 sensor with dual fill lights, so paper tickets and phone-screen codes still read at night. Working QR distance is 5–18 cm and the average decode takes about 100 ms; codes can be presented at any rotation with up to ±45° of tilt. On the RF side it reads 13.56 MHz UIDs from MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE DESFire EV1 and NTAG cards, other ISO/IEC 14443A cards, ISO/IEC 15693 tags and NFC phones in card-emulation mode. The metal frame and glass front carry an IP67 rating.
Use Wiegand D0/D1 for standard controllers, RS485 with active upload for host software, or USB via the Mini USB port. Supply 12 V DC ±5% (below 200 mA). Control wires are labeled BUZZ, LEDG and NG, so verify the feedback logic with your controller before commissioning. The housing is 138 × 58 × 22.67 mm; to add a touch keypad, choose the QC-120.

Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Elevator card readers for car panels and lift lobbies: anti-clone encrypted cards, QR codes for visitors, Wiegand or RS485 output to the floor controller.
Turnstile card readers, QR scanners and face terminals for tripod, swing and speed gates, with Wiegand, RS485, RS232 or TTL output to the gate board.
Any controller or turnstile board with a Wiegand input, plus hosts that read RS485 or USB. Common Wiegand formats carry a short numeric ID, so confirm your QR content maps to the format the controller expects.
Its 58 mm width suits turnstile posts with limited space, and it outputs Wiegand or RS485 to the turnstile board. For a reader hidden inside the turnstile cabinet, the embedded QC-180 module is an alternative.
Both use the same 138 × 58 mm IP67 mullion housing, scanner and outputs. The QC-120 adds a touch keypad under the glass; the QC-140 is keyless.
It operates from –10 to +50 °C and can be stored from –20 to +80 °C, with 20–80% relative humidity.
Compare Wiegand, OSDP and RS485 reader interfaces: wiring, cable limits, AES-128 Secure Channel and steps for a compatible access-control migration.
125 kHz cards are cheap but easy to clone; 13.56 MHz cards add memory and, on DESFire-class chips, AES security. Compare range, chips, security and migration.
Wiegand 26-bit is an even parity bit, 8-bit facility code, 16-bit card number and odd parity bit. Convert card numbers to hex and back with the calculator.
Ultra-thin IP65 metal reader that scans QR and dynamic QR codes, reads 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz credentials and BLE 5.3, and outputs Wiegand, RS485 or OSDP v2.2.
Embedded IP65 QR code and 13.56 MHz card module for turnstiles and kiosks, with 3–20 cm QR range, 9–24 V DC input and Wiegand + USB plus RS485, RS232 or TTL.
IP67 metal-frame reader that scans printed or on-screen QR codes and 13.56 MHz card UIDs, with a touch keypad and Wiegand, RS485 and USB outputs.
