86 × 86 mm black glass-panel reader for QR codes and 13.56 MHz cards, with MIFARE sector encryption, chasing-light LEDs, IP54 and Wiegand + USB plus a serial port.
The QC-190 is an 86-box QR code and NFC card reader with a black glass front and a row of indicator LEDs that brighten in sequence, giving a finished look for lobbies and reception areas. It reads QR codes, 1D barcodes and 13.56 MHz cards and hands the result to your existing controller. The front is rated IP54, which covers dust and splashing water at sheltered entrances.
Its scanning specification matches the embedded QC-180 module: a 72° diagonal field of view, 1/30 s capture, 3–20 cm QR range and tolerance of 360° rotation with ±55° pitch and skew. For cards it follows ISO/IEC 14443A/B at 0–5 cm and handles MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, MIFARE Ultralight, DESFire and CPU cards. It can read encrypted MIFARE Classic sectors and CPU-card content as well as UIDs. iCLASS is listed for card serial number (CSN) reading only; test your own iCLASS credentials before committing.
All versions output Wiegand and USB, with RS485 (QC-190-M-RS), RS232 (QC-190-M-RS232) or TTL UART (QC-190-M-T) as the serial option; output format and accepted card types are configurable in software. Supply 9–24 V DC; current is ≤ 130 mA on standby and ≤ 200 mA while reading. The 86 × 86 × 21.3 mm housing connects through an 11-core lead plus a 1,000 mm USB cable, and a white fill light helps in dim entrances.

Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Turnstile card readers, QR scanners and face terminals for tripod, swing and speed gates, with Wiegand, RS485, RS232 or TTL output to the gate board.
iCLASS is supported for card serial number (CSN) reading only; secure iCLASS data is not read. Send us a sample of your credentials and we will confirm the result before you order.
Instead of trusting the card UID, the reader authenticates to a MIFARE Classic sector with keys you define, so a card that only copies the UID is rejected. CPU cards can be checked the same way through their stored content.
The front is rated IP54, meaning dust-protected and resistant to splashing water. Use it at covered entrances; for exposed lanes, the IP65 QC-180 module is better suited.
Pick RS485 (QC-190-M-RS) for controllers on a bus or longer cable runs, RS232 (QC-190-M-RS232) for PC-style serial ports, or TTL UART (QC-190-M-T) for direct microcontroller connection. Wiegand and USB are present on all three.
From 3 to 20 cm. Minimum element size is 10 mil for 2D codes and 5 mil for 1D barcodes.
Compare Wiegand, OSDP and RS485 reader interfaces: wiring, cable limits, AES-128 Secure Channel and steps for a compatible access-control migration.
125 kHz cards are cheap but easy to clone; 13.56 MHz cards add memory and, on DESFire-class chips, AES security. Compare range, chips, security and migration.
