Slim IP65 Metal Face Recognition Access Control Terminal: overview
The FR-120 is a narrow face recognition terminal in a CNC-machined metal body measuring 185 × 58.5 × 19 mm, slim enough for door frames and mullions. It runs a visible-light dynamic recognition algorithm on a megapixel binocular camera, so people are verified as they approach without stopping at the reader. IP65 sealing lets it sit at entrances exposed to dust and damp.
Its 13.56 MHz reader checks IC (MIFARE Classic) and CPU cards by encrypted verification and can also match UIDs of ISO/IEC 14443A/B and 15693 cards. Verification can be face only, card only or a combination, chosen per door, so a lobby can run on face alone while a server room asks for face plus card. The terminal stores 1,000 users and 1,000 faces with 100,000 event records, and a 2.4-inch TFT color display gives the user feedback. A wired doorbell connection is also provided.
Integration notes
Wiegand input and output let the FR-120 report to an existing controller or accept an external reader, while TCP/IP (with optional Wi-Fi) connects it to PC access-control and time-attendance software; ask us which software package is supplied. It needs a 12 V DC supply rated at 3 A. Operating range is –5 to +45 °C at 10–90% RH, so check winter lows before specifying it for an unheated exterior position. Plan enrollment capacity carefully: at 1,000 faces it suits single departments, small offices and turnstile lanes rather than large sites.

Can it be mounted outdoors?
It is IP65 and runs from –5 to +45 °C, so it suits covered exterior doors in mild climates. Check your site’s winter lows against the –5 °C limit.
How many people can it enroll?
Up to 1,000 users and 1,000 faces, with 100,000 event records. For larger sites, see the 10,000-face terminals in this range.
Will it work with my existing access controller?
Yes. Matched users go out on Wiegand to the controller, and a Wiegand input takes an external reader.
Which cards can it verify?
It checks IC (MIFARE Classic) and CPU cards at 13.56 MHz with encrypted verification, and matches UIDs of ISO/IEC 14443A/B and 15693 cards.
Does it have a doorbell?
Yes. The terminal provides a wired doorbell connection for a chime at reception or inside the room.
