IP67 Waterproof Wiegand Card Reader, 90 mm Square: overview
The CR-250 is the square, card-only member of our decorative IP67 reader range. It carries the same red diamond-and-line light strip as the slim CR-240 on a 90 × 90 × 16 mm black face, so a building can mix both sizes and keep one look. Epoxy potting seals the electronics, which makes it a good fit for exposed gates, pool and spa areas and car-park doors.
Choose CR-250-E for 125 kHz EM-type cards and key fobs, or CR-250-M for the UID of ISO/IEC 14443A/B credentials such as MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, DESFire, Ultralight, NTAG213/NTAG216 and CPU cards. Reading distance is 0–3 cm depending on the credential and installation. Each card number goes to the controller as Wiegand 26 or Wiegand 34.
A configuration card changes the Wiegand mode, card key and number format without a laptop. Power is 12 V DC (±5%) at up to 200 mA, the operating range is –20 to +65 °C, and the design includes anti-static protection plus a short-circuit guard on the outputs.
Integration notes
The pigtail follows a common Wiegand color code: red +12 V, black GND, green D0, white D1, purple buzzer input and gray LED input. Link yellow to GND if the panel accepts only Wiegand 26. For card plus PIN in the same style, see the CR-260 keypad version.

CR-250 FAQ
How does the CR-250 differ from the CR-240?
They share the same published specifications, IP67 potting and diamond light strip. The CR-250 is a 90 × 90 mm square for flat walls, while the CR-240 is an 80.5 × 44 mm slim version for mullions and narrow frames.
Which cards does CR-250-M read?
It reads the UID of ISO/IEC 14443A/B cards, including MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, DESFire, Ultralight, NTAG213/NTAG216 and CPU smart cards. It is not specified for reading protected sectors.
Is there a keypad version in the same style?
Yes. The CR-260 uses the same 90 × 90 mm decorative housing with a keypad, and the CR-270 is an 86 × 86 mm keypad version that adds a dual-frequency option.
Can it be used in freezing weather?
It operates down to –20 °C. For colder sites, choose a reader rated to –40 °C such as the CR-310.
