IP67 Waterproof Keypad Card Reader, Wiegand, 90 mm Square: overview
The CR-260 adds a 12-key keypad (0–9, * and #) to the square 90 × 90 mm decorative housing, for doors that need a PIN as well as a card or that must admit users who have left their card at home. Like the card-only versions, it is filled with epoxy resin, rated IP67 and finished with a red diamond-and-line light strip. It connects to any access controller with a Wiegand input.
CR-260-E reads 125 kHz EM-type cards and fobs. CR-260-M reads ISO/IEC 14443A/B UIDs, including MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, DESFire, Ultralight, NTAG213/NTAG216 and CPU cards. It can also authenticate with a MIFARE key before sending the UID, or read MIFARE sector content, which helps a site move away from plain UID matching without replacing the controller.
Wiegand 26 or 34 output, the card key and the number format are set with a configuration card. Supply is 12 V DC at up to 200 mA, reading distance is up to 3 cm, and the reader operates from –20 to +65 °C with anti-static and output short-circuit protection.
Integration notes
Wire red to +12 V, black to GND, green to D0 and white to D1; purple and gray accept buzzer and LED control from the panel. Ground the yellow lead for fixed Wiegand 26. The keypad output format is not listed in the base specification, so include your controller model with the order and we will confirm the keypad setting before dispatch.

CR-260 FAQ
How are PIN entries sent to the controller?
Keypad entries leave on the same Wiegand D0/D1 lines as card numbers. The PIN format must match your panel, so include the controller model with your inquiry and we will confirm the keypad setting before shipping.
Does the IP67 rating cover the keypad?
Yes. The rating applies to the complete reader, keypad included, and the electronics behind the keys are potted in epoxy resin.
Can CR-260-M read protected MIFARE sectors?
Yes. Besides plain UID reading, it can authenticate with a MIFARE key before outputting the UID or read sector content. The card key is set with the configuration card.
What is the read distance?
Up to 3 cm, depending on the card type and the mounting environment.
