86 × 86 mm keypad reader with raised rubber keys, potted to IP67. 125 kHz EM, 13.56 MHz MIFARE or dual-frequency versions with Wiegand 26/34 output.
The CR-270 is an 86 × 86 × 16 mm keypad reader with raised, flame-retardant rubber keys, for entrances where users prefer tactile buttons or wear gloves. It shares the epoxy-potted IP67 construction and red diamond-and-line light strip of the decorative range, and it outputs Wiegand 26 or 34 to the door controller.
Three versions are available. CR-270-E reads 125 kHz EM-type cards and fobs. CR-270-M reads ISO/IEC 14443A/B UIDs (MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, DESFire, Ultralight, NTAG213/NTAG216 and CPU cards) and can authenticate with a MIFARE key before sending the UID or read MIFARE sector content. CR-270-D covers both bands, reading EM cards alongside key-authenticated MIFARE UIDs, which makes it the practical choice while a site migrates from 125 kHz to 13.56 MHz.
A configuration card sets the Wiegand mode, card key and number format at the door. The reader draws up to 200 mA at 12 V DC, reads at 0–3 cm and works from –20 to +65 °C, with anti-static design and short-circuit protection on its outputs.
Red is +12 V, black GND, green D0 and white D1; purple and gray take buzzer and LED control from the controller. Grounding yellow fixes the output at Wiegand 26. The keypad output format is not listed in the base specification, so tell us your controller model and we will confirm the setting before dispatch.

Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Elevator card readers for car panels and lift lobbies: anti-clone encrypted cards, QR codes for visitors, Wiegand or RS485 output to the floor controller.
Gym access control system hardware for 24/7 clubs: fob and wristband readers, face and QR terminals, anti-passback controllers and no-touch exit buttons.
CR-270-D reads both 125 kHz EM-type cards and 13.56 MHz MIFARE-family UIDs, so old and new credentials work on the same door while cards are replaced.
They are raised rubber keys made from a flame-retardant material. The keypad sits in the same epoxy-potted IP67 housing as the card reader.
The CR-270 is 86 × 86 mm with raised rubber keys and adds a dual-frequency option. The CR-260 is a 90 × 90 mm keypad version offered in 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz only.
Keypad entries go out on the Wiegand D0/D1 lines. Send us your controller model with the order and we will confirm the matching keypad output setting before dispatch.
Compare Wiegand, OSDP and RS485 reader interfaces: wiring, cable limits, AES-128 Secure Channel and steps for a compatible access-control migration.
125 kHz cards are cheap but easy to clone; 13.56 MHz cards add memory and, on DESFire-class chips, AES security. Compare range, chips, security and migration.
