PP plant label with a 100 × 60 × 3 mm head and 360 mm overall length, reading to 10 m on a fixed UHF reader, for breeding trials, nurseries and tree farms.
The ST-130 is a UHF RFID plant label for breeding programs, nurseries, tree farms and horticultural research. Each label carries a unique chip ID that links a plant or plot to its records (variety, parent lines, planting date, treatments and measurements), captured in the field instead of copied from handwritten tags.
The label is molded in PP with a 100 × 60 × 3 mm head and a total length of 360 mm. The product photo shows a T-shaped stake with a pointed stem that pushes into soil or growing media, leaving the flat head visible above the plant. Inside is an Impinj Monza 4QT chip working across 860–960 MHz.
It has the longest rated range among our seal, tie and plant tags: 10 m with a 4 W fixed reader and 2.5 m with a handheld. An operator can walk a row and pick up labels without bending to each pot, and a fixed reader at a greenhouse doorway or on a trolley route can log batches as they move.
UHF anti-collision lets a reader inventory many labels in one pass, so use your handheld's search or filter mode to locate one plant on a crowded bench. Water and dense foliage absorb UHF energy, so expect shorter distances than the rated figures in wet, heavily planted beds, and test in your own growing conditions.

Build an RFID asset tracking system: on-metal, ceramic and tie-on tags matched to each asset, handheld audits, smart cabinets and IP67 HF heads for tooling.
The datasheet lists 10 m with a 4 W fixed reader and 2.5 m with a handheld. Wet soil and dense foliage shorten this, so test in your beds or greenhouse.
It is a T-shaped stake with a pointed stem, 360 mm long overall, pushed into soil or growing media. For hanging tags on branches, see the ST-160 leaf tag or the ST-140 cable tie tag.
Any EPC Gen2 UHF reader operating within 860–960 MHz, which includes both the 902–928 MHz and 865–868 MHz bands.
Yes. Each label has a globally unique chip ID, and the EPC memory can be encoded with your own plant or plot numbering using a UHF reader/writer.
Compare UHF RFID reader bands by country, including US, EU, UK, China, India and Japan. Understand ERP, EIRP, channel conditions and radio approvals.
Wire a UHF reader's D0, D1 and ground to your controller, match 26/34-bit Wiegand, size 12 V power and trigger the barrier by relay. Diagrams included.
Yes, RFID works on metal with tags built for it. See why metal detunes standard tags, compare ABS, PCB, ceramic and label tags, and test read range properly.
