Single-use UHF RFID cable seal with a steel-ball lock and a 280 mm × 1.8 mm steel wire; reads at 5 m on a fixed reader for containers, tankers and trailer doors.
The ST-110 is a disposable UHF RFID cable seal for freight: shipping containers, tanker trucks, box trucks and trailers. It combines a mechanical one-time lock with a passive EPC Gen2 tag, so a yard or gate reader can log the seal's ID while staff can still see at a glance whether it has been cut.
The seal head is ABS, 100 × 26.5 × 13.4 mm, with a 280 mm steel wire of 1.8 mm diameter. Thread the wire through the door hasp or valve handle and push it into the head, where a steel ball grips it. Once pulled tight, it cannot be drawn back out, so opening the sealed item means cutting the wire, which is obvious on inspection.
Inside the head, an Alien Higgs-9 chip works across 860–960 MHz, so the same seal reads on US, European and other regional UHF readers. The datasheet gives 5 m with a 4 W fixed reader and 2 m with a handheld, enough for a portal reader over a gate lane or a handheld check as a truck pulls in.
Record the tag ID against the shipment or container number when you apply the seal, then read it again at each handover point. No ISO 17712 classification is stated for the ST-110, so use it for RFID identification and visual tamper evidence alongside, not instead of, any bolt seal your customs process mandates. For close-contact checks on small fittings, the compact ST-120 is an alternative.

Plan RFID container seal checks: one-time-lock UHF wire seals, handheld and fixed gate readers, and encoding that links each seal to its shipment record.
No. It is single-use: once the wire is pulled tight, the internal steel ball stops it from being withdrawn, so the only way off is to cut the wire.
Yes. The tag is specified across 860–960 MHz, which covers both the 902–928 MHz band and the 865–868 MHz European band.
The datasheet lists 5 m with a 4 W fixed reader and 2 m with a handheld. Aim the reader antenna at the area where seals sit on the doors and test with a sample on your vehicles.
No ISO 17712 classification is stated for this seal. Use it for RFID identification and visible tamper evidence, and add a certified bolt seal where customs or your contract requires one.
