Card-size ceramic UHF tag with an Alien Higgs-9 chip for vehicle and metal-asset ID, rated to 10 m on metal; it breaks if pried off, so it cannot move to another vehicle.
The CT-110 is a card-size passive UHF RFID tag on a ceramic substrate, intended for vehicle identification and for large metal assets that need a long read distance. It is listed for 902–928 MHz and 866–868 MHz operation, carries an Alien Higgs-9 EPC Gen2 chip, and is rated at up to 10 m when mounted on metal and read by a 4 W fixed reader.
Ceramic has a high dielectric constant, which lets the printed silver-paste antenna keep working against a steel surface instead of detuning the way a paper inlay does. The chip is bonded to that antenna and sealed under epoxy resin, so the finished tag is a rigid tile with no exposed electronics. It also reads well on non-metal surfaces.
The tag bonds with a pre-applied high-strength adhesive and is meant to stay put. If someone forces it off, the antenna breaks and the tag stops responding, so a credential cannot be peeled from one vehicle and stuck on another. Choose the mounting position carefully, because the tag is not designed to be repositioned.
Tell us your operating band when ordering: CT-110-US for 902–928 MHz readers or CT-110-EU for 866–868 MHz readers. Read distance depends on the surface and the reader. Our datasheets list 10 m on metal with a 4 W fixed reader, about 3 m when the tag is worn on the body, and 2–3 m with a handheld. They also give two sizes (86 × 54 × 3 mm and 95 × 54 × 4 mm), so check a sample against your mounting location before a volume order.

Plan an RFID vehicle access control system: UHF windshield tags, long-range lane readers, Wiegand controllers and barrier triggering. Lane BOM and samples.
Build an RFID asset tracking system: on-metal, ceramic and tie-on tags matched to each asset, handheld audits, smart cabinets and IP67 HF heads for tooling.
Order CT-110-US for readers running at 902–928 MHz (FCC-band regions such as North America) or CT-110-EU for readers running at 866–868 MHz. Match the tag to the band your readers are configured for.
Our datasheets list up to 10 m on a metal surface with a 4 W fixed reader and 2–3 m with a handheld. Range drops on poor surfaces (3 m is listed with the tag worn on the body), so test at your real mounting point.
No. It is bonded with a strong adhesive, and prying it off breaks the antenna so the tag no longer responds. That anti-transfer behavior is the point for vehicle credentials.
It is card-sized. One datasheet gives 86 × 54 × 3 mm and another 95 × 54 × 4 mm, so we confirm the current batch with a sample before you commit to a mounting design.
No temperature rating is published for this tag, so we do not offer it for paint ovens, autoclaves or other heat cycles without testing. Send us your process conditions and we will check options.
