Driver-free USB desktop UHF reader/writer that types EPC, TID or USER data into any software. 0–8 cm range for controlled enrollment; US and EU band versions.
The EW-110 is a USB desktop UHF RFID reader/writer for the enrollment desk, where windshield tags and UHF cards are registered into parking, access-control, attendance, canteen or library systems. It enumerates as a USB HID device, so it works on Windows, Android and Linux without a driver, and it takes its 5 V power from the same USB port.
In active mode the reader acts as a keyboard and types tag data into whichever field has focus, and you choose whether it sends the EPC, TID or USER memory bank. In passive mode the demo software takes over to read and write tags, and the same software switches the unit between read-only and read/write operation. Firmware can be upgraded online.
The built-in antenna handles EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-6C tags, including 915 MHz UHF cards, at 0–8 cm. That short distance is deliberate: only the tag placed on the reader is captured, not the stack of cards next to it. A read completes in under 90 ms and is confirmed by a beep and a flashing green LED.
Order EW-110-US for the FCC 902–928 MHz band or EW-110-EU for the ETSI 865–868 MHz band, matching the regulations where the reader will be used. The housing measures 107 × 107 × 23 mm and sits flat on a counter next to the keyboard.

Plan an RFID vehicle access control system: UHF windshield tags, long-range lane readers, Wiegand controllers and barrier triggering. Lane BOM and samples.
Build an RFID asset tracking system: on-metal, ceramic and tie-on tags matched to each asset, handheld audits, smart cabinets and IP67 HF heads for tooling.
No. The EW-110 enumerates as a USB HID device on Windows, Android and Linux and draws power from the same USB port.
In keyboard mode it outputs the EPC, TID or USER memory bank, whichever you configure. Place the cursor in the target field, as you would with a barcode scanner.
Yes. In passive mode the demo software reads and writes EPC Gen2 tags, and you can also lock the unit into read-only operation.
Short range is intended for issuing and enrollment: only the tag on the reader is captured, so nearby cards on the desk are not registered by mistake. For lane reading, use a long-range reader.
EW-110-US for FCC 902–928 MHz countries and EW-110-EU for ETSI 865–868 MHz countries. Tell us the destination and we will confirm the region plan.

Wire a UHF reader's D0, D1 and ground to your controller, match 26/34-bit Wiegand, size 12 V power and trigger the barrier by relay. Diagrams included.
Yes, RFID works on metal with tags built for it. See why metal detunes standard tags, compare ABS, PCB, ceramic and label tags, and test read range properly.
