Compact USB desktop UHF reader/writer and card issuer: 2 dBi antenna, 13 dBm output, 0–30 cm reads, driver-free on Windows, Linux and Android. EU or US band.
The EW-120 is a compact desktop UHF RFID reader/writer and card issuer for access-control and vehicle-management systems. It reads EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-6C cards and tags at up to 30 cm, connects over USB without a driver, and runs with Windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7, Linux and Android.
Two working modes cover the usual desk jobs. In active mode the unit reads tags by itself as they are presented; in passive mode the demo software drives it to read and write tag data. A configuration tool updates the reader's parameters, so one stocked model can be adapted to different projects without a hardware change.
A 2 dBi built-in antenna and 13 dBm output give a working distance of 0–30 cm, depending on the card and where the reader sits. That lets staff enroll a windshield tag or card without placing it exactly on the surface, while the field stays small enough for a shared counter.
Order EW-120-EU for the ETSI 865–868 MHz band or EW-120-US for the FCC 902–928 MHz band. Both draw 5 V from USB at ≤ 120 mA standby and ≤ 180 mA while reading, measure 110 × 80 × 16.9 mm, come in an unbranded black housing with a 1,500 mm USB cable, and are RoHS compliant.

Plan an RFID vehicle access control system: UHF windshield tags, long-range lane readers, Wiegand controllers and barrier triggering. Lane BOM and samples.
Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Build an RFID asset tracking system: on-metal, ceramic and tie-on tags matched to each asset, handheld audits, smart cabinets and IP67 HF heads for tooling.
The EW-120 reads up to 30 cm with a 2 dBi antenna and 13 dBm output in a 110 × 80 × 16.9 mm housing. The EW-110 works at 0–8 cm and adds configurable HID keyboard output of EPC, TID or USER data.
No. USB communication is driver-free, and supported systems are Windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7, Linux and Android.
Yes. In passive mode the demo software reads and writes EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-6C tags.
EW-120-EU for 865–868 MHz (ETSI) countries and EW-120-US for 902–928 MHz (FCC) countries. Match the band of the long-range readers on the same site.
The standard unit ships in a plain black housing without a logo. Contact us if you need custom marking or packaging for a volume order.
