Waterproof, heat-resistant silicone laundry tag, 55 × 12 × 2.7 mm, with an Alien Higgs-9 chip tuned for 902–928 MHz; reads to 4 m on a fixed reader.
The LT-140 is a 55 × 12 × 2.7 mm UHF RFID laundry tag sealed in silicone. The encapsulation keeps water out and stands up to heat, corrosion and abrasion, and silicone is non-toxic and a good electrical insulator, which matters for towels, bedding and uniforms that sit against skin.
The antenna is tuned for 902–928 MHz, the FCC band used in the US and Canada, and carries an Alien Higgs-9 chip. Listed read distance is 4 m with a 4 W fixed reader and 2 m with an Impinj R2000-based handheld, enough for cart-level counts at a dock door, a soiled-linen intake or a clean-linen dispatch point.
No 865–868 MHz version is listed. For ETSI-band sites, the LT-130 PPS button is rated 860–960 MHz; for the longest range on 902–928 MHz, the fabric LT-150 reaches 7.5 m.
The narrow strip lies flat along a hem or seam. Encode the EPC with an EPC Gen2 reader-writer when the item enters service, then read at intake and dispatch to build circulation counts per customer or ward. Wash-cycle count and pressure limits are not published for this silicone version, so run samples through your wash, extraction and finishing program before rollout.

Read ranges as listed for each tag: fixed reader at 4 W and an Impinj R2000-based handheld. Encapsulation, wet linen and dense loads reduce range.

| LT-140-US | Silicone laundry tag, 55 × 12 × 2.7 mm, UHF 902–928 MHz, Alien Higgs-9 |
RFID linen tracking hardware: washable UHF laundry tags, fixed tunnel readers, antennas and handhelds for hotels, hospitals and laundries. Samples available.
It is tuned for 902–928 MHz only, and no 865–868 MHz version is listed. For ETSI-band sites, consider the LT-130 PPS button, which is rated 860–960 MHz.
About 4 m with a 4 W fixed reader and 2 m with an Impinj R2000-based handheld. Wet or tightly packed linen shortens this, so tune antennas with loaded carts.
Water, heat, corrosion and abrasion. The silicone is also non-toxic and insulating. Ask for wash-cycle and pressure data if your process uses high-pressure extraction.
An Alien Higgs-9 EPC Gen2 chip, which standard UHF fixed readers and handhelds on the 902–928 MHz band can read and encode.

Wire a UHF reader's D0, D1 and ground to your controller, match 26/34-bit Wiegand, size 12 V power and trigger the barrier by relay. Diagrams included.
Yes, RFID works on metal with tags built for it. See why metal detunes standard tags, compare ABS, PCB, ceramic and label tags, and test read range properly.
