Compact 6 dBi circularly polarized UHF antenna in a 140 × 120 × 20 mm IP67 housing with SMA female port, reading 5–11 m for lanes, counters and cabinets.
The AN-120 is a compact 6 dBi circularly polarized UHF antenna for short- to mid-range read zones: pedestrian lanes, service counters, document and tool cabinets, and warehouse shelving, where a full-size outdoor panel would be too bulky. Paired with a fixed reader or reader module, it reads at 5–11 m depending on reader power and tag.
Its 60° horizontal by 58° vertical beam produces a wider, shorter field than a 9 dBi panel, which makes it easier to stop one read zone spilling into the next. Front-to-back ratio is at least 23 dB, VSWR is 1.3 or better, and the antenna accepts up to 100 W.
The small footprint does not mean indoor-only. An ABS radome with gasket and silicone sealing gives IP67 protection, and the operating range of –40 to +80 °C covers outdoor pedestrian gates as well as refrigerated storage. At 0.46 kg it can hang from a light bracket or sit inside furniture.
The RF port is an SMA female (jack) connector on the metal back plate, so the reader cable needs an SMA male plug at the antenna end and 50 Ω impedance throughout. Pole mounting suits masts of 25–50 mm diameter. Two tunings are available: AN-120-EU for 865–868 MHz readers and AN-120-US for 902–928 MHz readers (listed as 840 MHz and 940 MHz nominal, 100 MHz bandwidth). For vehicle lanes that need more distance, step up to the 9 dBi AN-110.

Plan an RFID vehicle access control system: UHF windshield tags, long-range lane readers, Wiegand controllers and barrier triggering. Lane BOM and samples.
Plan RFID for warehouse management: fixed readers and circular antennas at dock doors, conveyor tunnels, handheld cycle counts and on-metal asset tags.
Build an RFID asset tracking system: on-metal, ceramic and tie-on tags matched to each asset, handheld audits, smart cabinets and IP67 HF heads for tooling.
The AN-120 is much smaller (140 × 120 × 20 mm against 259 × 259 × 33 mm), uses an SMA rather than an N connector and reads 5–11 m instead of 6–20 m. Pick it for lanes, counters and cabinets, and the AN-110 for vehicle lanes.
AN-120-EU is the version for 865–868 MHz readers and AN-120-US for 902–928 MHz readers. Tell us your reader's band on the RFQ and we confirm the tuning before shipping.
Yes. It is sealed to IP67, operates from –40 to +80 °C, carries a 60 m/s wind rating and mounts on poles of 25–50 mm diameter.
A 50 Ω coax with an SMA male plug at the antenna end and the connector your reader uses at the other end. Keep the cable as short as practical to preserve read range.

Yes, RFID works on metal with tags built for it. See why metal detunes standard tags, compare ABS, PCB, ceramic and label tags, and test read range properly.
