50 × 10 mm 13.56 MHz module that returns ISO14443 Type A and Type B card UIDs, with TTL UART, USB and a buzzer drive pin on one 7-pin header.
The HF-120 is a narrow 13.56 MHz UID reader for products where board width is the tightest constraint: handheld terminals, tablets, smart locks, mobile devices and parcel or logistics equipment. At 50 × 10 × 14 mm it can run along the edge of a host PCB or fit inside a handle.
It reads unique IDs from ISO/IEC 14443 Type A and Type B cards, including MIFARE Classic 1K/4K (S50/S70), MIFARE Ultralight, NTAG, FM11RF08 and FM1208 CPU cards. Treat it as an identification module: it passes the card number to the host, and card-memory read/write is not part of the listed feature set.
What sets the HF-120 apart from our HF-130 is that one part number covers both host links. The 7-pin header brings out TTL UART (TX/RX) and USB (D+/D–) side by side, so a single stocked part can serve a microcontroller design and a USB-connected product. A BUZZ pin drives an external buzzer to confirm each read.
Supply 5 V DC ±5% with current under 200 mA. The serial link runs at 115200 bit/s. Tell us which host link you will use so we can confirm the firmware setting before shipment. Rated read distance is more than 20 mm and depends on the card and the enclosure, so test it in your housing. The module operates from –10 to +65 °C (storage –20 to +80 °C) at 15–90% RH, with a dimensional tolerance of ±1 mm.

Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Plan RFID for warehouse management: fixed readers and circular antennas at dock doors, conveyor tunnels, handheld cycle counts and on-metal asset tags.
One part number lists both, and the header has pins for each: pins 6 and 7 carry UART TX/RX, pins 4 and 5 carry USB D– and D+. Tell us which link you will use so we can confirm the firmware setting before shipment.
Card-memory read/write is not listed; the HF-120 returns card UIDs. For MIFARE sector read/write, look at the HF-160, HF-170 or HF-180 modules.
More than 20 mm, depending on the card type and the materials around the module.
All three share the 50 × 10 × 14 mm size, 5 V supply and ISO14443A/B UID reading. HF-120 carries TTL and USB on one part, HF-130 is ordered as a TTL or a USB build, and HF-140 is a single TTL/USB part whose host pinout we confirm with samples.
Compare Wiegand, OSDP and RS485 reader interfaces: wiring, cable limits, AES-128 Secure Channel and steps for a compatible access-control migration.
125 kHz cards are cheap but easy to clone; 13.56 MHz cards add memory and, on DESFire-class chips, AES security. Compare range, chips, security and migration.
Wiegand 26-bit is an even parity bit, 8-bit facility code, 16-bit card number and odd parity bit. Convert card numbers to hex and back with the calculator.
Board-level 13.56 MHz reader/writer with on-board antenna and SAM interface pins, offered in ISO14443A, APDU, A/B and ISO15693 builds with TTL or Wiegand output.
Tiny USB CCID smart-card reader module that adds PC/SC-accessible 13.56 MHz card reading to tablets, PCs, kiosks and ticketing terminals via an external antenna.
USB-powered 47 × 26 mm multi-protocol HF module with built-in or external antenna, optional FeliCa, and SDKs for Windows, Android and Linux.
47 × 26 mm HF module reading ISO14443A/B, ISO15693 and NFC tags, with Wiegand or 3.3 V UART output, on-board or external antenna, and an optional FeliCa version.
Small-footprint 13.56 MHz read/write module that drives your own antenna through a 1.25 mm connector, with TTL, I2C or Wiegand output and Type A, APDU and A/B builds.
