Tiny USB CCID smart-card reader module that adds PC/SC-accessible 13.56 MHz card reading to tablets, PCs, kiosks and ticketing terminals via an external antenna.
The HF-200 is a 28.8 × 19 mm board that turns a USB port into a contactless smart-card interface. Because it is a USB CCID-class device, host applications reach it through the standard PC/SC smart-card API rather than a proprietary serial protocol, which shortens integration on Windows PCs, tablets and self-service terminals.
It covers the mainstream 13.56 MHz standards: ISO/IEC 14443A and B, ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18092 (NFC). Listed credentials include MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2, MIFARE Ultralight and Ultralight C, ICODE, FeliCa, CPU cards and NFC Forum Type 1, 2, 4 and 5 tags, with ISO14443B APDU exchange and ISO15693 read/write named in the ordering data.
There is no on-board antenna. The module drives an external 50 Ω HF antenna, so the antenna can be shaped to fit a bezel, keyboard deck or display frame. At 4.5 mm high and about 2 g, the board itself suits thin devices such as handhelds, laptops, monitors and ticket validators.
Power comes from USB (4.3–5.5 V); current is up to 180 mA while working and up to 150 mA on standby. The USB link runs at 12 Mbps. Listed host systems are Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 and 7. A management tool updates firmware over USB and changes configuration parameters. The module is rated –20 to +60 °C at 20–80% RH, non-condensing. RoHS appears in the ordering data; no radio certifications are listed, so plan end-product approvals accordingly.

Build an RFID asset tracking system: on-metal, ceramic and tie-on tags matched to each asset, handheld audits, smart cabinets and IP67 HF heads for tooling.
It is a USB CCID-class device, so applications use the PC/SC smart-card interface. Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 and 7 are the listed host systems.
No. It needs an external 50 Ω 13.56 MHz antenna, which can be designed to fit your product. Ask us about antenna options when you request samples.
MIFARE Classic, DESFire EV1/EV2, Ultralight and Ultralight C, ICODE, FeliCa, CPU cards and NFC Forum Type 1, 2, 4 and 5 tags, across ISO/IEC 14443A/B, 15693 and 18092.
RoHS is listed in the ordering data. The technical sheet lists no radio certifications such as CE or FCC, so plan certification of your end product accordingly.
It is powered from USB at 4.3–5.5 V and draws up to 180 mA while working and up to 150 mA on standby.
Compare Wiegand, OSDP and RS485 reader interfaces: wiring, cable limits, AES-128 Secure Channel and steps for a compatible access-control migration.
125 kHz cards are cheap but easy to clone; 13.56 MHz cards add memory and, on DESFire-class chips, AES security. Compare range, chips, security and migration.
Wiegand 26-bit is an even parity bit, 8-bit facility code, 16-bit card number and odd parity bit. Convert card numbers to hex and back with the calculator.
